Coye W. Payne (Plainview)

Funeral services for Coye W. Payne, 93, of Quitaque, will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in the First Baptist Church of Quitaque with Rev. Carl Moman and Rev. Jeff Addison officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in Quitaque under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Payne passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2005 in Lockney Care Center. She was born July 20, 1911 in Grand Saline, Texas. She married Archie Winford Payne on August 22, 1926 in Paint, Texas. After they married, the moved to Quitaque area where Mr. Payne did construction. She is a past member of the First Baptist Church in Quitaque. She is survived by a daughter, Margie George of Quitaque, Five Sons and Four Daughters-in-law, A.W.,Jr. & Barbara Payne of Quitaque, Joe & Janis Payne of Plainview, Henry & Janet Payne of Amarillo, Jerry Payne of Quitaque, Stan & Denice Payne of Floydada; Fifteen Grandchildren, Twenty-one Great Grandchildren, and Twelve Great Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Payne is preceded in death by her busband A. W. Payne, a daughter Francis Evelyn Payne, a Granddaughter Joanie Payne, a Grandson Bobby Hal Tiffin, a son-in-law Virgil George and a daughter-in-law Ann Payne.
