TULIA: Graveside services for Amos Spilman, 99, of Tulia will be at 11 A.M. Monday, February 21, 2005 in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia with Rev. Jerad Middaugh, pastor of Southlawn Assembly of God in Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Spilman passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2005 in Amarillo. He was born in October 20, 1905, the sixth of nine boys in Texhoma, Oklahoma. Amos and his family came to Briscoe County in 1911, and had been envolved in farming most of his life. He married Ethel White on Sept. 5, 1932 in Altus, OK. They lived in Tulia for many years. She passed away on May 5, 1966. He was also preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers. Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law, Betty & Joe Hooper of Ennis, TX and Wanda & Guy Hooper of Amarillo, TX; one brother, Mark Spilman of California; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Kornerstone Funeral Directors, 201 W. Broadway, Tulia, TX on Sunday form 5 to 7 P.M.
