Abraham Martinez, 76, of Plainview passed away on Friday, December 26th , 2025. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Life Church in Plainview, Texas with Pastor Steve Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
Abraham Martinez Jr. married the love of his life Rosa on January 2, 1973. They were married 49 years before she passed in 2022. He dedicated his life to his family and God. Abraham worked at Cargill over 20 years and retired from there. He loved to read books on Health and Wellness but his favorite book to read was the bible. He had many childhood friends as well as people in the community he met from bible studies or just out drinking coffee. Music was also a big part of his life. He would spend hours listening to Christian and Gospel music as well as some of the greatest oldies. He passed his love of music of God down to his children and grandchildren. He spent most of his free time exercising and walking or working on his cars. Abraham loved to dress to impress in his cholo style and loved old cars. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Abraham is preceded in death by his wife Rosa Ramos Martinez; his daughter Vicky Martinez; his parents: Abraham Sr. and Felipa Martinez and Sister Elena Navarrette.
Abraham is survived by his children: Edward Martinez and his wife Becky Martinez of Plainview; Elizabeth Vega and her husband Eddie Vega of Lubbock; Abraham Martinez III of Plainview; Eberardo Martinez and his wife Deanne Martinez of Plainview.
Grandchildren: Heaven Martinez of Plainview; Noah Martinez and fiancée Chelse Watson of San Angelo; Marisa Vega and Fiancée Alex Ventura of Conroe; Alyssa Vega of Lubbock; Mia Vega and Abraham Sanchez of Lubbock; Joe Vega of Lubbock; Zoe Martinez and Jaylon Rivas of San Angelo; Jasmine Martinez of Portales NM; Camron Wilson from San Angelo; Jayden Wilson from San Angelo and Nolan Martinez from Plainview, Aubrey Guerrero and Bryan Padilla of Lovington NM.
Great, Great Grandchildren: Zayen Rivas and Serenity Marquez and two on the way, Elena Sanchez and Adalynn Rose Rivas, Isaiah, Alaiah, and Ayden Padilla.
He is also survived by his sister and brothers: Blanca Martinez of Plainview; Raul and Bertha Martinez of Plainview; Johnny and Mary Martinez of San Angelo; Edward and Julia Martinez of San Angelo and Rojelio Martinez of Plainview.
