Adelina Betancourt (Plainview)

Adelina Betancourt, 82 of Plainview passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026 at her home in Plainview. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. A service honoring her life and legacy will follow immediately after at 3:00 P.M.

Adelina was born on August 15, 1943 in Kingsville, Texas to Julian & Antonia Buentello. She married Jose Betancourt in April of 1976. She retired as a Nurses Aid after 19 years. She enjoyed flowers, plants and dancing. Her treasured memories were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Life Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian & Antonia Buentello and her son, Alex Ybarra.

Adelina is survived by her husband, Jose Betancourt of Plainview; five sons, Irineo Ybarra III of Kingsville, Texas, Daniel Ybarra & wife Sandra of Plainview, Texas, Gerardo Betancourt & wife Idalia of San Antonio, Texas and Edward Betancourt & wife Lisa of Lubbock, Texas; Three daughters, Diane Alvarez & husband Rolando of Plainview, Texas, Rebecca Cordaway & spouse Amanda  of Lubbock, Texas and Sandra Ybarra & husband Daniel of Plainview, Texas; Sixteen Grandchildren and Sixteen Great Grandchildren.
