Alexandria "Alex" Muniz Raissez (Plainview)

Alexandria “Alex” Muniz Raissez passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas with Pastor Ronnie Saldana officiating. Interment will follow at Lockney Cemetery in Lockney, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 2, 2024 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Alex was born on January 14, 1951 to Francisco, Sr. and Alejandra Muniz in San Marcos, Texas. Alex married Gregory Raissez April 15, 1972 in Lockney, Texas. In this loving marriage, they created a good life with five wonderful children. Alex worked for Dairy Queen in Lockney and Lubbock for several years until she retired in 2018. She enjoyed spending time with her children, reading and watching the Dallas Cowboys play football. She always yelled “Get Em”. Alex was very passionate about her faith in Christ and attended church at Alabanza Unida in Lubbock, Texas. She loved God and her family.

Alex is survived by her sons, Michael Raissez and wife Angie of Plainview, Texas, Matthew Raissez and wife Samantha of Lubbock, Texas, Joshua Raissez and Taya Trammell of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Ashley Raissez of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Mikaela Raissez, Mikey Raissez, Klee Payne, Tage Trammell; her sisters, Ofelia Hernandez of Plainview, Texas, Dora Sanchez and husband Octavio of Benavides, Texas; one brother, Francisco Muniz, Jr. and wife Ester of Brownfield, Texas and grandpups, Atlas and Mavis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Alejandra Muniz; her husband, Gregory Raissez; her daughter, Amanda Ramirez; her grandson, Brian Hernandez; her brothers, Gilbert Muniz, Nick Muniz, Tony Muniz; her sisters, Delia Perez, Alicia Perez and grandpup, Daisy Raissez.
