Ann Moore (Tulia)

Ann Moore, 80, of Vigo Park passed away on September 1, 2024 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Vigo Park Community Church. Burial will follow in the Wayside Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8th from 4 to 6 P.M. at Kornerstone.

Ann was born on March 18, 1944 in Plainview, Texas to Odie and Tillie (Clayton) Richardson. She grew up in Vigo Park and attended schools in Tulia. She married Gary Moore on September 3, 1961. She was a homemaker. She helped her husband raise cattle and loved to ride horses. She was a member of the Sheriff's Posse. She did work outside the home for Tulia Livestock Auction for a while and was a 4-H Leader. She loved to sew, paint, cook and bake. Ann also played the piano at church and sang monthly at nursing homes. She really loved her grandchildren but really loved her great grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband Gary Moore; parents, Odie and Tillie Richardson; daughter, Fara Lynn Moore; and her sister, Sis Culifer.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Carson of Vigo Park; two grandchildren, Mitchell Carson of Florida, Alyssa Updegrove and husband Jake of Lake Kiowa, TX; three great grandchildren, Parker Moore Updegrove, McKenzie Blake Updegrove, and Benjamin Wyatt Updegrove.
