Antonia Gonzales (Plainview)

Antonia Gonzales, 95, of Plainview passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mrs. Gonzales was born January 17, 1928 in Ballinger, TX to Julio H. & Ricarda Galvan. She married Domingo Gonzales on July 8,1944 in Ballinger. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2007. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Antonia is preceded in death by her parents, Julio H. & Ricarda Galvan; her husband, Domingo Gonzales; one brother, Jose Galvan; two sisters, Juana Picon and Maggie Lopez and a daughter-in-law, Janie Gonzales.

She is survived by three daughters, Amelia Ruiz, Delma Gonzales and Edna Martinez & husband Salvador; four sons, Willie Gonzales, Henry Gonzales & wife Abby, Fernando Gonzales & wife Diana and Jesse Gonzales; four brothers, Juan Galvan, Julio Galvan, Macardio Galvan and Isaiah “Chayo” Galvan; five sisters, Jovita San Miguel, Severiana Aguero, Maria Jalomo, Felis Galvan and Lupe Villarreal; eighteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
