Tulia, Texas, Aurora Treviño Saldaña, 91, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 in Tulia. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Rev. David Contreras officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Funeral services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. 

A rosary will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. 

Aurora was born on June 19, 1929 in Artesia Wells, Texas to Leonardo and Maria (Guarajara) Treviño. She married Gilbert Saldaña in Lamesa, TX and after marriage he went to the service as she took care of their children. She worked for a hunting ranch for several years cooking meals and cleaning cabins. Gilbert and Aurora were one of the first parishioners at Saints Williams Church and a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. She had a passion for gardening and flowers and in her pastime she would decorate her home entry with beautiful bright flowers. She was a jack of all trades and loved cooking all time. Aurora would pray the rosary and would help the sick and the needy.  

She is preceded in death by her husband; Gilbert Saldaña in 2008, her parents; her daughter; Bertha Saldaña, her son; Adrian Saldaña, several sisters, and brothers.

She is survived by her children; Patricia Hernandez, Elvira DeSpain, Betty Saldaña, Alice Marquez, Gilbert William Saldaña, Helen Love, Sandra Kniffen, AnnaBell Renteria, Carlos Saldaña , Abram Saldaña and 28 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
