Beverly Ann Howard (Plainview)

Beverly Ann Howard, 84, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021 at her home in Kress, Texas. Beverly was born on May 9, 1937 in Plainview, Texas to Kelly and Loraine (Paschal) Bowers.

Beverly graduated from Plainview High School in 1955, where she participated in activities all four years in FHA, FBLA and A Cappella Choir. Upon graduating from Plainview High, she met and married the love of her life Roy Howard on November 29, 1956. She worked at First Federal S&L and he began his career with Southwestern Bell in Lubbock, Texas. Prior to marriage, Roy served in the U.S. Navy for two years aboard the U.S.S. Pine Island.

She was an avid participant in real estate organizations in three states: Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas. She loved spending time for many years boating at the Lake of the Ozarks and being a fan of college sports for Texas Tech University and Oklahoma State University.

Beverly was a member of the Lions Club (Missouri), and S.P.A.T.A. (South Plains Antique Tractor Association.) She was also a member of the Kress Church of Christ and 9^th and Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview, Texas.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kelly, sister-in-law Nancy Bowers, brother-in-law Glen Wood, nephew Trent Bowers and a nephew Russell Wood.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roy; her son, Flint (Tracy) Howard, Overland Park, Kansas; her daughter, Jana Howard, Edmond, Oklahoma, her sister, Patsy Wood, South Plains, Texas; her nephew Len (Rhonda) Wood, Lubbock, Texas, nephew Brian (Susan) Bowers, Warner Robbins, Georgia, her grandson, Michael James (Bree) Howard, Andrews, Texas; great grandson Wyatt Howard, great granddaughter Kyndel Howard.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 17, 2021 in Kornerstone Chapel under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.
