Bobbie Lee Maples (Plainview)

Bobbie Lee Maples, 94, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023. A visitation will be held from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 11, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church with Phillip Hamilton and Glenn Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Bobbie was born in Quitaque, Texas on August 16, 1929 to John and Eula Boyles. She married James E. Maples on September 4, 1945, in Quitaque, Texas. They lived in Quitaque and Silverton during the early years of their marriage. They moved to Plainview in 1963. To this union was born 6 Children. Bobbie was a strong Christian and loved her lord and served him in many capacities during her 94 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Eula Boyles, one sister; Johnnie Rodgers, her loving husband of 34 years; James E. Maples, and one daughter-in-law; Gloria Maples. She is survived by her children; Bobbie Jean Linville and husband Floyd, James Lee Maples, Kathie S. Herring and Husband Bill, Shirley N. Maples, Grady C. Maples and wife Lori, and Mark A. Maples, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews that loved her like a mother. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Bethel Baptist Building Fund, American Cancer Society, The Alzheimer's Association, or the charity of your choice.
