Bobby Dee Noblett (Plainview)

Bobby “Bob” Noblett, 88, of Plainview passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 19th, 2023 in the First Baptist Church Chapel with his son Dennis Glen Noblett officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Bob was born on February 4th, 1935 in Greenland, Arkansas to Carl and Velma Noblett.  His father was a pastor so he grew up in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and in Texas.  They settled in Abernathy and he graduated from Abernathy High School in 1953.  He married Terry Essary on May 27, 1956 in New Deal.  He later attended and graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 1971.  Bob had many jobs over the years including serving as a music minister and later worked in the Insurance Industry for 32 years.  He worked for Allstate before becoming and independent insurance agent.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainview and a member of the Toast Masters.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Velma Noblett; brothers, Aubrey, J.B., Eschol, Jack, and Royce Noblett; and one grandchild, Chloe Burleson.

Survivors include his wife Terry Noblett of Plainview; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Noblett and wife Susan of Sherman, Steven Noblett and wife Sherri of Bedford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri Cross and husband Bill of Plainview, Diane Burleson and husband Jay of Arlington; one brother and sister-in-law, Clois Noblett and wife Jan of Lubbock; another sister-in-law, Tommie Noblett of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Jonathan Cross, Whitney Katz, Tyler Noblett, Collin Burleson, Abby Murillo, Jessie Reyes; and five great grandchildren, William Katz, Burke Noblett, Briggs Noblett, Mercedes Murillo, and Landry Noblett.
