Bonnie Ruth Cantwell (Plainview)

Bonnie Ruth Cantwell, 92, of Plainview passed away on March 15, 2026 in Plainview. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview, Texas with Craig Settliff and Andrew Frances officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Bonnie was born on November 17, 1933 in Blanket, Texas to Bruce and Mary Moore of Blanket, Texas. She attended Blanket High School in Brown County, and married Worthy Cantwell on August 24, 1950 in Odessa, Texas. They lived in Lubbock one year before moving to Plainview in 1951. Bonnie enjoyed decorating, sewing, gardening, playing piano and being a home maker. She had a good life which she enjoyed.

She is preceded in death by her late husband of 68 years Worthy (Shorty) Cantwell, her parents Bruce and Mary Moore, her daughter Watha Cantwell, and her brother Joe Moore.

She is survived by her son Benny Cantwell and wife Connie of Plainview, four grandchildren Craig Peters and wife Misty of Canyon, Texas, Melissa Adlong and husband Chris of Justin, Texas Kimberly Henry and husband Justin of Levelland, Texas, Justin Cantwell and wife Kristie of Plainview, Texas, eleven great-grandchildren Dalton, Kylee, Shelby (Dalton Barfield), Jalayne (Ashley Austin), Christopher, Mason, Kody, David, Avery, Laynie and Wyatt, and six great great-grandchildren.
