Bryan Curtis (Plainview)

Bryan Curtis, 76, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Taylor Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held Monday evening, April 28, 2025 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Kornerstone.

Bryan was born February 24, 1949 in Tulia, Texas to Quentin "Pete" & Clemma Ludene Curtis. He grew up in Durango, Colorado before his family moved to Hereford, Texas when he was in Junior High. Bryan graduated from Hereford High School in 1967. He was a Cowboy before being drafted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. After returning home he continued to Cowboy. Bryan married Martha Cunningham on Nov. 30, 1972 in Hereford. Bryan was a welder for Holly Sugar Inc. for 20 plus years retiring in 1996. He later worked for Task Robotics and did several other things before finally retiring for good. Bryan was a member of College Heights Baptist Church, VFW, and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Curtis; daughter, Kasey Ann Curtis Hill; and his parents.

Bryan was survived by his son Cody Curtis and wife Sara of Plainview; grandchildren, Haley Curtis, Riley Curtis, Kinsley Curtis, Brayden Hill, Zoe Borchardt and husband Kiley; siblings, Forrest Curtis of Hereford, Jim Curtis and wife Elizabeth of Hereford, Becky Curtis Ray of Hereford, Quincy Curtis and wife Tarabeth of Amarillo.
