Calvin Leo Foster (Plainview)

Calvin Leo Foster passed from this life on May 13, 2026 in Plainview, TX due to congestive heart failure brought on by years of fighting diabetes. He was born to Leo and Lucille Foster on November 15, 1942 in Plainview, TX. Calvin graduated from Kress High School in 1961 then Lubbock Christian College in 1963. He married the love of his love of his life, Lynette Morgan Foster on April 1, 1962. He lived almost his entire life on the family farm near Claytonville, TX. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Calvin was a Little Dribblers Basketball coach, a 4-H leader, member of The Lions Club, and served on the Kress Farmers Elevator Board. Farming was his main interest and he helped several young farmers get their start. Calvin retired from farming in 2007.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lynette Foster, his children, Bryan and Benjalyn Foster of Kress, TX, and Dayna and Keith Bedford of Muldrow, Ok. His grandchildren, Rebecca and Lucas Pollet of Poughkeepsie, NY, Melody and Chace Vinson of Kress, TX, Bailey Bedford of Brentwood MD, Marcus and Brittany Foster of Abilene, Texas, Sarah and Matt Vaquera of Floresville, TX and Cynthia and Keaton Grant of Holly Springs, NC. His great-grandchildren, Eli and Jett Lees, Ellis, Everly and greatly anticipated Tate Vinson, all of Kress, Matthew and Makayla Vaquera of Floresville, TX and Levi Foster of Abilene, TX. His brother Howard Foster (Irma) of Happy, TX and 2 brother-in-laws, Gary (Debbie) Morgan of Birmingham, AL and Russell (Lisa) Morgan of Forney, TX. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Linda Foster Garrett, his nephew Terry Garrett and his in laws, Ellis and Evelyn Morgan, and his brother-in-law Kent Morgan.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview, TX. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, TX. Calvin will be remembered by a visitation following the memorial service from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday May 15, 2026 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Boys Ranch located at 600 SW 11th Ave, Amarillo, TX 79101.
