Carson Matheson (Tulia)

Carson Matheson, 71, of Tulia passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2024, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Harold Drake officiating. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. 

Carson was born on September 18, 1952 in Vernon, Texas to Wallace and Margarete (Winegar) Matheson. He graduated from Vernon High School. He married Pamela Ellis in Corpus Christi on June 23, 1985. Carson worked for Jeff Deluge in the caliche pit for 14 years. Pam and Carson would have coffee with their friends in the evenings at El Burrito several times through the week. Carson loved his dogs, fishing, camping and loved working on all his cars. He would have many projects but never quite got them done. Carson loved his family very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Margarete Matheson and his loving son, Kit Carson Daniel Matheson. 

He is survived by his wife Pam Matheson of Tulia, his children, Heidi Combs of Amarillo, Misty Burns of Amarillo, Robin Badillo of Amarillo, Jennifer Matheson of Memphis, Rockie Flores of Childress, his brother, Bobby Matheson of Amarillo, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
