Charlene Muirhead (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Sammie Charlene Muirhead, 85, departed this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 29, 2020. Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Charlene was born on August 9, 1935 to Sam and Ada Muirhead in Tulia. She is survived by a brother, J.D. Muirhead of Fremont, CA, her nieces, Sammie Buckley of Fremont, CA and Sheila Green of Roseville, CA and nephews, Tillman Regan of Plainview, TX and David Regan of Plainview, TX, and special friends, Valoise and Charles Davenport of Amarillo and Faye Henthorn of Tulia.

Charlene attended Tulia public schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she attended the Faith Sunday School Class and attended regularly until her health did not permit it. At the death of her mother, she became a resident at Tulia Health and Rehab Center in 1988. She was a kind and thoughtful roommate and was loved by residents and their families, as well as the staff at the home.

Over these many years many kind people in the community have enriched her life with their offers of friendship and help.

The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to everyone for their kindness and interest. And a special thanks to the staff at the home. May God richly bless each and all.
