Chuck was born on March 2, 1945 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Henry and Dorthea Humphreys.  He grew up all over being that his father worked in pipeline construction but they settled in Plainview when he was in the second grade.  He went on to become a Metal Fabricator and could literally build and construct just about anything.  In 1961, he married the love of his life, Eva Faye Horton and together they created a wonderful life.  He was a loving husband, amazing father, and awesome grandfather.   He served the Lord faithfully throughout so many areas in his life.  He was a deacon at Parkview Baptist Church, served as a Sunday school teacher, and RA leader. After years of fabricating, he started Chuck Humphreys Industries where he designed, built, and sold spray rigs.  He loved to build or work on anything that had wheels.  He worked hard and he played hard and always enjoyed the company of his family and his friends.  Chuck and Eva once served as dorm parents at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch and even fostered children in their home for several years.  Above all, he loved Jesus and relied on him throughout his life.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dorthea Humphreys; and a daughter, Pamela Humphreys.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Faye Humphreys of Plainview; three children, Melinda Humphreys of Ruidoso, Tim Humphreys and wife Lois of Canyon, Candi Garcia and husband Robert of Plainview; five grandchildren, Justin Coleman and Katie Stoll of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Ryan Humphreys of Canyon, Kirsten Perez and husband Adrian of Canyon, Harlie Garcia and Fiancé Adam Flores of Plainview, Hannah Garcia of Plainview; and one great grandchild, Olivia Perez of Canyon; sister, Karen Music of Gladstone, Oregon; and brother-in-law, John Pierce Horton of Plainview; niece, Sherri Manley and husband Greg of Tacoma, Washington; nephew, Scott Marczynski and wife Des of Clackamas, Oregon; and niece, Melody Hanson and husband Chris of Spanaway, Washington; and many great nieces and nephews.
