Charlotte Lee Redman Wood (Plainview)

In Loving Memory: Charlotte Lee Redman Wood (1924-2024) With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to our beloved mother and grandmother, a pillar of love, faith, and wisdom, who peacefully passed away at the age of 100. Charlotte departed this world on February 12, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, guidance, and devotion that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were touched by her grace. Born in 1923, Charlotte’s journey was one of unwavering faith and service to others, a testament to her profound love for God, her family, and humanity. As the beloved wife of a preacher, Charlotte stood steadfastly by her husband's side, offering her support to him and love to the congregations they served. Her home was a sanctuary of hospitality, where all were welcomed with open arms and tender care. Beyond her role as a preacher's wife, Charlotte was a mentor and confidante to countless young women at the Preston Road School of Preaching in Dallas, Texas, where her husband served for many years. With gentle guidance, wisdom, and a listening ear, she nurtured the spirits of the young women by offering sage advice and unconditional love to help them navigate the challenges of ministry in an ever-changing world. Her wisdom was a beacon of light for many, illuminating the path to faith, hope, and fulfillment. Through her words and deeds, Charlotte inspired countless individuals to embrace their true selves and pursue their calling of serving God with courage and conviction. In her hundred years of life, Charlotte touched the lives of so many, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love for family, and conviction for the Lord. Though she may be gone from our sight, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Charlotte is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Edmond Wood II, her son, James Edmond Wood III, and her grandson Alynn Edmond Snelling. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Marie (Sherry) Wood Snelling of Plainview, daughter-in-law Debbie Wood, of Sunnyvale, and five grandchildren, Laura Snelling Weaks, of Dallas, Alicia Snelling Ramirez, of Dallas, Amanda Wood of Mesquite, Stephanie Forsee of Rockwall, and James Edmond Wood IV, of Dallas, along with 7 great- grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy with love and reverence, and a special thank you to her great-grandson Cooper Ammons who cared and watched over her. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life of a woman who touched so many with her boundless love and unwavering faith. A visitation will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. A graveside service to honor and remember Charlotte's life will be held at Holliday Cemetery in Holliday, Texas on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. Though she may be gone from our midst, Charlotte will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of love, faith, dignity, and grace. Rest in peace, dear MeChat, knowing that your legacy will live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know you.
