Darren was born on January 22, 1964, in Baylor County to Richard and Wanda (Barbee) Milloway,
Growing up in Tulia, Darren was a proud graduate of Tulia High School, class of 1982. Following his graduation, he pursued his education at Amarillo College before launching a successful career as a heavy machinery/diesel mechanic, a profession he dedicated himself to throughout his life. He proudly worked for several esteemed companies; including ASCO Equipment, Lone Star Dirt & Paving, Allen Butler Construction, Bee Equipment, and CAT Warren, where his expertise and dedication were always evident. Darren was not only an accomplished mechanic but also a true racing enthusiast.
He spent countless weekends and evenings drag racing across the country in his earlier years and then found joy helping local racing teams at the dirt circle track, where he shared his expertise by building high-performance cars. His love for speed extended to his passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, as he cherished every opportunity to ride and savor the great outdoors. A man of simple pleasures, Darren found little interest in television, except for his beloved NASCAR races. His zest for life, sense of humor, and love for anything that went fast will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Milloway; his stepmother, Avonna Kay Milloway.
He is survived by his father Richard Milloway of Tulia; his children, Zachary Milloway of Tulia, Dakota Lippon and husband Taylor of Amarillo and Jennifer Milloway and fiancé Bryson Barnett of Amarillo; his sisters, Teresa Covington and husband Robby of Chandler and Claudia Walker and husband Chris of Amarillo; and baby Wyatt Lippon on the way.
