David C. Dean (Plainview)

David C. Dean, 82, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 19th in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Kyle Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 P.M. at Kornerstone.

David was born on January 16, 1943 in Plainview, Texas to William Henry and Cassie Lucille Dean. He lived in the same house his whole life. After graduating from High School, David immediately began farming and farmed in the area for 50 plus years. He loved all aspects of his trade and enjoyed putting things together. David was 2nd Lieutenant in the Army National Guard reserves for several years before being discharged in 1970. He also served as a reserved deputy for the Hale County Sheriff's Office for many years. He married Billie Jean Davis on July 28th, 1977 in Halfway. They enjoyed traveling and visited most of the State of Texas Courthouses only failing to visit 13 of them. He also enjoyed seeing his grandchildren.

David was preceded by his parents; brother, Marvin Dean; and a niece, Lorie Stimpson.

Survivors include his wife Billie Dean of the home; a son; grandchildren, Kristan Glashauckas and husband Shawn; Dillon Dean of Hobbs, NM, Ryleigh Dean and Holden Dean of Chilhowee Missouri; great grandchildren, Caiden Farmer, Lizzy Armstrong, Allison & Colby Armstrong, Jackson Glashauckas, and Anij Mackey of Lubbock; niece, Jeni Dean-Sims of Grand Saline; and many other extended family members.
