David Ernest Voyles, 76, passed away on December 12, 2023. Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Plainview Memorial Park at 1:00 P.M. with Brandon Rowell officiating. Service arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors before the service. David was born on February 6, 1947, to Ernest Voyles and Nora Clayton Voyles in Plainview, TX. He settled in Amarillo, TX, where he embraced his hobbies with enthusiasm. Whether it was hunting, fishing, or showcasing his meticulous lawn, David found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He particularly relished attending auctions, where he discovered unique treasures that added charm to his home. With a natural knack for mechanics and a passion for aviation, David embarked on a fulfilling career as an aircraft mechanic. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail led him to many remarkable achievements in the field. Notably, he had the honor of designing and working on various aircraft, including building a helicopter for the President. His unwavering patriotism and dedication to his craft were evident in his tireless efforts, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the aircrafts he worked on. Family gatherings were a testament to his warm and welcoming nature, as he adored spending quality time with his loved ones. David will forever be remembered for his passion, dedication, and love for his family. David is preceded in death by his parents, David Ernest Voyles Sr. and Nora Pearl Voyles, and his brothers, Richard Voyles and Rodger Dale Voyles. David is survived by his siblings, Jack Voyles, Jimmy Voyles, Gloria Alston, Mark Voyles, Kenneth Voyles, and Tracy Voyles, children, Tony Voyles and wife Kristy, Lisa Justice, Bryan Voyles and wife Jamie, Brock Voyles, Misty Bridges and husband Lonnie, and Daniel Voyles, grandchildren, T.J., Nikki, Cyndi, Jeremy, David, Maddy, Stormy, Alyssa, Cassie, Jacilynne, Treveal, Tejay, Athena, Haylee, and Ethan, and 8 great-grandchildren.
