Dollie Anna Jobe (Tulia)

Dollie Anna Jobe, 79, of Kress passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 Friday, August 28, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainview, Texas. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park, Plainview, TX.

Dollie was born on August 7, 1947, in Trinidad, Colorado, to Victor and Adeline (Waller) Martin. Dollie graduated from Kress High School and went on to build a meaningful life filled with hard work, creativity, and love. Dollie dedicated her career as a secretary to various companies, including the Jimmy Dean Plant, South Plains Electric, and Saint Anthony's Hospital. She also ran and owned the Gulf Gas Station in Kress for many years. Additionally, Dollie managed her own farm, tending to her cows with pride. 

A devout Catholic, Dollie found strength and solace in her faith. She was a wonderful seamstress, whose love for sewing was evident in the many gifts she crafted for her grandchildren, including cherished gift baskets adorned with her personal touch. Dollie's artistic talents extended to painting and various arts and crafts, bringing joy to those around her. Dollie was known for her warmth and engaging conversational skills; she could talk to anyone about anything, and her friendly nature brought people together. She cherished the holiday season, especially Christmas, when she would fill her home with decorations and cheer. A true cowgirl at heart, Dollie loved horses and embraced the hardworking spirit that defined her life.

 She is survived by her two sons, Ted Jobe and wife Jennifer of Lubbock and Faron Jobe and wife Julian of Dalhart; one brother, Tex Martin of Kress; six grandchildren, Audra, Mallory, Brooklyn Jobe, Andrew Tomilson, Benjamin and Claire Jobe; her best friend, Garry Waller.
