Dolores "Dianne" Taylor (Plainview)

Dolores "Dianne" Taylor, 68, of Petersburg passed away on September 13, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Petersburg Cemetery in Petersburg, Texas. A celebration of life visitation will follow at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Dianne was born on November 14, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas to Joe and Leota Porter. On July 16, 1976, Dianne married Kirk Taylor, her soulmate and partner in life. Together, they shared a beautiful love story filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support for one another. Dianne was a high school librarian and high school secretary for over 35 years in the Petersburg school district. Her enthusiasm and kindness for the students made her a beloved figure, and she loved nothing more than taking care of anyone that crossed her path and making Petersburg ISD a better place.

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Thanial Kirk Taylor; daughter, Julie Watson and husband David; daughter, Tamra Morris and husband Josh; and her loving grandchildren, Coda Daniel, Landon Morris, and Maddox Morris.

The family asks that donations be made in Dianne’s honor to Texas Boys Ranch located at 4810 N County Road 2800, Lubbock, Texas 79403.
