Tulia, Texas—Don White, 83, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 am with his grandson, J. White, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Friday, September 15, 2021, at the funeral home.

Donald Lynn White was born on May 24, 1938, in Tulia to Alton and Vinnie White. He grew up in Tulia and attended Tulia schools. He married the love of his life, Glenda Ewing on December 22, 1954, they moved to Amarillo in 1967 and he drove for Groendyke Trucking for several years. They later moved to McLean in 1991 where he worked on a ranch there. He loved all aspects of cattle, nature and being outdoors. He loved his grandchildren, and he was a man of faith, he would sit down and talk to The Lord each night before he went to sleep.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter: Kelly Stavenhagen and two brothers: Dennis White and Douglas White.

He is survived by one daughter: Terry McAvoy and husband Joe, one son: Donnie White and wife Gail, one son-in-law: Rick Stavenhagen, one brother: Ralph White, 14 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a very dear “adopted daughter” who helped take care of mom and dad during their illnesses: Lena Keith.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations would be made to: BSA Hospice of the Southwest 5211 SW 9th, Ste. 100, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
