Ed was born on December 27, 1942, in McKinney, Texas, to Bill and Louise Alexander. He spent the majority of his life in Plainview, where he built a life grounded in hard work, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple things.
On April 20, 1962, Ed married the love of his life, Peggy Green. Together, they shared nearly 64 years of marriage—a partnership marked by loyalty, perseverance, and unwavering love. Ed worked for the Texas Highway Department for 33 years, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication.
In his free time, Ed could most often be found tinkering around in his shop, working outdoors, or spending time with those he loved most. He had a special way of loving on all of his “babies,” and his presence was a steady, comforting force to those around him. Known affectionately as one “tough old bird,” Ed faced life with grit, resilience, and quiet strength.
