Esperanza "Hope" Garza Renteria (Plainview)

Esperanza “Hope” Garza Renteria, 95, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Memorial service will be on January 6th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 410 S. Garland Plainview, Texas at 1:00 pm. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas. Esperanza was born on February 2, 1928, in Aspermont, Texas to Adalfo and Juana Galvan Ybarra. She married Cresencio Garza, and he passed March 17, 1987. She later married Reynulfo Renteria on November 18, 1989. Although she never attended grade school, she had an amazing memory. She loved to travel to visit her family members and could do so without using a map. She was a very bright and independent lady. She was a devoted Jehovahs Witness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adalfo and Juana Galvan Ybarra; her first husband, Cresencio Garza; two daughters, Eloisa Gonzales and Amber Sahagun; her second husband, Reynulfo Renteria and three brothers, Manuel Ybarra, Ricardo Ybarra and Bobbie, three sisters, Antonia Trevino, Elvira Lopez and Maria Luisa Ramos. She is survived by three sons, Lorenzo “Larry” Garza of Waco, Roberto “Robert” Garza of Plainview, Gabriel Garza of San Angelo: her siblings, her step-siblings, Alfonza Ybarra, Linda Gruzing, Esther Esquivel, Elizabeth White and Richard Ybarra.
