Evelyn Marie Ridener, age 65 of Levelland, Texas, passed away on March 29, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Evelyn was born February 24, 1961, In Plainview, Texas, to James and Drusilla Couch. Evelyn attended schools in Plainview, graduating from Plainview High School in 1978. She married her high school sweetheart, Johnny Ridener on June 10, 1978, in Plainview, Texas. She worked in the healthcare administration sector for many years, as well as assisting with church administrative duties. Evelyn was very creative. She loved to sew, make crafts, and was always excited about coming up with ideas for fun activities for our family reunions. She will be remembered for being sweet, humble, caring and having a fun-loving personality and dedication to her family. She adored her pets, each with a distinct name.
She is survived by her husband Johnny, sons: James (Shanna) Ridener and Michael (Ashleigh) Ridener, Adopted son, William Ighobue, Grand Children: Ezra, Abigyl, Hosanna, Atalyah and Chesleigh, Brothers: Loyd (Loretta) Couch, Gilbert (Joy) Couch, James (Cheryl) Couch, Weldon (Paula) Couch, William (Cheryl) Couch, Lewis (Pat)Couch, Sisters: Frances (Tommy) Love, Lillie Morsbach, Irene (Jimmy) Fennell, Elizabeth (Randy) Brown, Audrey (Gary) Alderson, Lois (Ted) Sumners. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by: Her parents James and Drusilla Couch, Brothers: Truman Couch and Clifton Couch, Sister: Jimmie Nell Brown, Brother-in-laws: Don Brown, Gary Crump, Harvey Morsbach, Sister-in-laws: Marie Couch and Georgette Couch
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Northwest Church of Christ with Van Miller officiating in Plainview, Texas. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas.
