Frances Joy Day (Plainview)

Joy Day, 94 of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Joy was born on October 8, 1928 in Post, Texas to William Joseph & Minnie Lee Shepherd. She married Glen R. Day on September 27, 1947. They owned Day’s Cleaners for 51 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Glen R. Day.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Bass of Kress, TX and Carla Cannon & husband David of Plainview, TX; one son, Glen R. “Rusty” Day & wife Gail of Lubbock, TX; seven grandchildren, Renee Fox, Kyla Parr, Cody Cannon, Craig Cannon, Crystal Heck, Brooke Moody and Garrett Day and fifteen great grandchildren, Samantha, Sydney, Sawyer, Berkley, Knox, Nash, Jayden, Rylen, Brycen, Kierra, Carson, Mackinley, Mason, Miles, Jillian and Harper and two great great grandchildren, Hayes and Sylar.
