Garvis Dewey Estes, Jr. (Tulia)

Garvis Dewey Estes, Jr., 81, of Silverton passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 28, 2024 in the First Baptist Church in Silverton with Rev. G.J. Walton officiating. Funeral services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

 A visitation will be held after the memorial service is concluded from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. 

 Garvis Dewey Estes Jr. was born to Jack and Edna Estes in Plainview, Texas on January 9, 1943. 

 He is survived by a sister Valda Ferguson of De Queen, Arkansas, a twin sister Doris McDonald and husband Lynn of Idalou, Texas.

 His son, Jim Estes and wife Donna of Silverton, their children Amanda Adamson and husband Aaron of Lubbock, Texas their children, Trooper, Tally and Tenley of the home. Kelsie McNeill and husband Jarred of Lubbock, Texas and their children, Brecken, Kolston and Whitten of the home. Braden Estes and wife Lauren of Silverton and their children, Landry and Braysen of the home.

 Ross Estes and wife Melissa of Silverton, Texas and their children Payton Estes and wife Brittany of Silverton, Texas and their children, Braelyn and Grace of the home, Shane Estes and wife Emily and daughter Hallie of Forth Worth, Texas.

 Lorn Estes and wife Haley of Claude, Texas.

 His wife Katy Estes and sons Billy Robison and wife Kathy of Fowler, Co., JoDee Robison and wife Amy and their children Joseph and James of Silverton, TX.

 Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, Dewey leaves behind. 

 Dewey was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s almost four years ago. He was a very brave and courageous man to fight this head on.
