Gary Dewayne Looney (Plainview)

Gary Dewayne Looney, 74, of Plainview, Texas passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 in Amarillo, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas.

Gary was born on December 8, 1950 to Lee Moore and Ernestine Looney in Plainview, Texas. Gary enjoyed racing and was a long time member of the NHRA. His all time favorite car was his 1971 Chevrolet Nova. Gary worked as a painting contractor for many years before retiring.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Moore and Ernestine Looney; two brothers, Milton Looney, Lawrence Looney and three nephews.

He is survived by his daughter, Kerri Looney; one sister, Pat Adams; his ex-wife, Sue Looney and several nieces and nephews.
