George Garza, 58, of Plainview, Texas went with our Lord on June 18, 2025. A devoted husband, father, Papa, and a man of faith, George lived a life filled with compassion, love, and an unwavering dedication to his family.
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. at sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday June 26, 2025 with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas on Wednesday June 25, 2025.
George was born on February 22, 1967 in Tulia, Tx. He graduated from Plainview high school in 1985. He married his high school sweet heart Noelia on June 14, 1986. They just celebrated 39 years of marriage and their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and amazing memories. George and Noelia’s love for each other radiated and their marriage inspired everyone who knew them.
George was fearless and a giving man who never hesitated to help anyone in need. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Whether he was taking them out for breakfast, building things with them, or talking to them about his old cross country days, he cherished every moment he spent with them.
George is survived by his wife Noelia Garza of Plainview; two daughters, Erica Colmenares and husband Jose of Oklahoma City, Ok, Marissa Orona and husband Enrique of Plainview, TX; two sons Jonathan Garza and fiancé Abbey Williams of Gilbert, AZ and Isaiah Garza of Plainview, TX; his parents, Juan and Paulita Garza; three brothers, Gabriel Garza and wife Sandy of Olton, TX, Greg Garza and wife Belinda of Plainview, TX and Guillermo Garza of Plainview, TX; one sister, Diamantina Borrego and husband Ramon of Plainview, TX; six grandchildren, Elliana Colmenares, Penelope Colmenares, Oliver Colmenares, Isabel Colmenares, Elijah Kai Garza and Micah Orona.
A man of deep faith, George lived by his values and touched many lives through his kindness and big heart. George leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
