George Dale McGowan (Plainview)

 May 4,1963-January 17,2022

 

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the Kornerstone Chapel with Robert Malcom officiating.

George was born to Ovid Dell and Louella Moran McGowan in Amarillo, Texas. He married Carolyn Perry McGowan on March 15, 1993.

 

George is survived by his wife Carolyn, two daughters, Kayla McGowan of Slaton and Christy McGowan of Lubbock. Also survived by one son, George McGowan Jr of Enid, Oklahoma and step son Stephen Mitchell of League City, Texas. Grandchildren Tianna and Dawn Mitchell, Anthony and Elizabeth Herrera, Caleigh Kay Canfield, Caleb, Madison, Allison, Katelyn Ortiz, Hayden LaDuke and Kadance McGowan, one great grandson and his brother Edward McGowan.  He has a niece, Christy Ramsey,  that held a very special place in his heart along with several nieces and nephews. 

 

George was proceeded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Ramsey, his maternal Grandparents, the Morans and paternal Grandparents the McGowans.
