Gumecindo Garcia

Gumecindo Garcia, Jr. 59, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in the chapel of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the funeral home.

Mr. Garcia was born on July 6, 1963 in Plainview, Texas to Gumecindo Garcia, Sr and the late Maria Garcia. Gume married the love of his life, Virginia Rincon on February 26, 1994. They were married for 29 years.

Gume as most people new him farmed for 38 years in Halfway for Westside farms. He farmed for himself (Garcia Farms) for 15 of those years. In his spare time he volunteered for the Halfway fire department for 16 years. Gume retired in 2018. He enjoyed working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Garcia; his sister, Rosie Garcia and his brother, Cris Garcia.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia Garcia; one son, Mark Garcia (wife Lourie and daughter Khloe); one daughter, Mariah Garcia; one granddaughter, Zariah Garcia; His father Gumecindo Garcia, Sr.; his brothers, David Garcia, Michael Garcia and Robert Garcia all of Plainview.
