Harley Madison Hatch, 98, of Plainview passed away on April 27, 2026. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview, Texas.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas.
Harley Madison Hatch was born August 5, 1927, in Plainview, Texas to Joseph Allen Hatch and Ruby Bell Gough Hatch. He served in the United States Navy in the Korean Conflict as a Chief Petty Officer on The USS Piedmont.
He married Mary Nell Wilsher, in Plainview, Texas on March 27, 1952. Together they created a family of five children, Vicki Freeman, Annie Hatch, Jeanie Pruett and her husband Brian, Mark Hatch and his partner Ann and Jennifer Hufstedler and her husband Emmett (E.K.).
Harley and Mary loved and enjoyed all of their many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harley was preceded in death by his wife Mary, grandson Jeffrey Pruett, and great granddaughter Karter Salazar. As well as his parents Joe and Ruby Hatch, siblings, Ruby Nell Hatch, Joe Hatch, Jimmy Hatch, Howard Hatch, Grace Marie Collins and Daisy Langford.
Also mourning his death are his sisters and sisters-in-law, Julia Hollis and her husband Richard, Edith Sims, Edna Cochran Heflin, Bobbie Hatch, Leta Hatch and Betty Hatch. As well as all of his nieces, nephews and extended families.
Harley was a master carpenter, builder and gunsmith. He was also a creative jewelry and knife maker. Harley was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved fishing with his wife Mary.
Harley will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to all who helped, supported and loved Harley and his family during this time.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Cal Farleys Boys Ranch, honoring Harley Hatch would be appreciated.
