Helen Louise Pair (Plainview)

Helen Louise Pair, 90, of Plainview passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. Randy Rogers, Interim Pastor of the First Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Plainview Memorial park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Helen was born on April 15, 1934 in Littlefield, Texas to J.W. and Kittie James.  She grew up and attend schools there in Littlefield.  She then graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Education.  Helen married Mark Pair in 1977 in Plainview.  She taught 2nd grade and music at three different elementary schools for 40 plus years before retiring.  Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainview and was also a member of the Pastor's Sunday School class where she helped lead the singing.  She gave her profession of faith as a child in the Lum's Chapel Church located in Lamb County.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Glen, Earl, Jack, Bennie, J.W. Jr., J.D. James; two sisters, Mary McCarty and Pauline Gandy.

She is survived by her husband Mark Pair of Plainview; two sisters, Joyce McBride and Bonnie Gaston both of Plainview; nephew Chris McBride and numerous other nieces and nephews.
