Isabel Mary Villarreal (Plainview)

Isabel Mary Villarreal (Nuncio), a beloved and cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, was called home to eternal life on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

A rosary will be recited from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 1, 2026 in the Kornerstone Chapel.

A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 2, 2026 at St, Theresa Catholic Church in Hale Center, TX. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery. 

Isabel was born in Castroville, Texas, on July 8, 1934, to Pablo Nuncio and Leonore Costilla. She was the sister of five brothers, four sisters, and nine half-siblings.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pablo Nuncio; her mother, Leonore Costilla; her two husbands, Gilbert Castillo and Ruben Villarreal; her three children, Leonor, Danny, and Martha; eleven siblings—Patricio, Marcelo, Lucy, Delores, Mary, Lupe, Pablo Jr., Willie, Felix, Frances, and Antonio; one great-great-granddaughter, Jordynn; and one grandson, Ruben Jerome.

She is survived by her three children: John Castillo and spouse Christine of Harker Heights; Ruben Castillo and spouse Diana of Hale Center; and Diann DeLeon Serrano and spouse Armando of Pea Ridge, Arkansas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
