James Harrison Hart (Plainview)

He was born March 29, 1985 to Travis and Janie McManigal Hart. He was a 2004 graduate of Plainview High School. Following graduation from the Wolfforth Fire Academy, he served the Plainview community for sixteen years as a valued member of the Plainview Fire Department earning the level of Captain. He was a certified EMT Intermediate. He became a Christ-follower at an early age while attending First Baptist Church of Plainview and at the time of his death he was attending the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was also serving as Exalted Ruler of the Plainview Elks, B.P.O.E., Lodge 1175. Harrison married Kendra McDonough on May 11, 2013 in Plainview, Texas. He was passionate about his pursuits and treasured his family, work and many friends. He leaves the legacy of a kind and gentle spirit. His memory is cherished by his wife, Kendra Hart; son, Brodie James Hart; daughter, Kodee Brooks Hart; parents, Travis and Janie Hart of Ransom Canyon, Texas; his sister, Ellen Cothran (Ben) of Idalou, Texas; his in-laws, David and Tammy Mason of Plainview, Texas. He will also be remembered by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on April 17, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Memorial service will be held on April 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Harral Auditorium, Wayland Baptist University, Plainview Campus. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church, 1800 North I-27, Plainview, TX 79072 or the scholarship fund of the Plainview B.P.O.E., Lodge 1175, 908 North I-27, Plainview, TX 79072.
