Jeraldyn Faye Seigler (Jerry) passed away on April 6, 2024.
Jerry was born on September 29th 1932 in Plainview, Texas to Robert (Bob) Pennington and Meryle Marrs Pennington. She was their only child. She was the granddaughter of homestead farmers in both Hale and Briscoe counties. Jerry graduated from Plainview High School in 1951. Attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, and Texas Tech University. In 1952 she became a stewardess for Trans Texas Airways.
Jerry married Felix K. Freier in 1953 and they had 3 children. Vickie Gray, Robert Freier, and Lorie Conklin. In 1971, Jerry married Dr. Gale Seigler. They were very loving and devoted to one another.
Jerry was a fantastic decorator and enjoyed filling her home with beautiful treasures and antiques. She was an avid worker for her high school class reunions, even holding the last gathering at Westridge Manor with the help of Pat for their 71st class reunion. Jerry grew up in First Baptist Church with her parents, and later was an active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church serving on vestry and alter guild. Later she and Gale became members at Plainview Methodist Church where Jerry was president of her Sunday school class.
Jerry is survived by her two daughter’s Vickie Gray and husband Rusty, Lorie Conklin and husband Garland. Also Gale’s two daughter’s Tracey Johnson and Brooks Smith. Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gale Seigler and her son Robert Freier and Gale’s son Steve Seigler. She loved all her grandchildren Ashley, Kurt, Christopher, Shannon, Garrett, Brien, Amy and Kerri. Jerry has many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren that she loves and is so proud of.
Her last two years she lived at Westridge Manor and boy did she enjoy that! The food, fun and fellowship were right up her alley.
A memorial service will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview on April 12, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Rusty Gray officiating. Private Burial will be held at a later date.
