Jimmy Lee Borchardt of Lubbock, Tx passed away on May 15, 2026 in Lubbock, Tx. He was born to BeBee and Florence Hicks Borchardt on September 11, 1943 in Lewisville, Tx. Jimmy attended Little Elm schools.

Jimmy helped his girl’s softball teams and liked watching his son play baseball and helped coach his football team. He liked watching Texas Longhorn football, Texas Rangers baseball, and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed going to Antique Tractor shows with his friend Bill and restoring Tractors.

Jimmy worked many jobs. He helped his family on the farm and then he went to work for General Battery Company where he retired. He opened up a shop, Bogies Auto shop in Lewisville, Tx. He then went on to be a superintendent at Lewisville Waste Water Management where he retired. Then he went to work for the Roadway Express.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Leon Borchardt; 3 sisters, Dorthy Loveday, Wanda Parker, and Bonnie Davis.

Jimmy is survived by his sister and husband Mary and Gerald Jones of Denton, Tx; his children, Deanna and Steve Mason of Lubbock, Tx, Sheila and Allyn Robinson of Tolar, Tx, and Joey Borchardt of Lubbock, Tx; 9 grandchildren, Julie and Brett Ritter of Idalou, Tx, Jamie Weaver of Lubbock, Tx, Crystal and Spencer of Holyoke, Co, William and Shelby Gragg of Arvada, Co, Ashley and Brian Gales of Holyoke, Co, Billy and Brittany Borchardt of Boys Ranch, Tx, Max and Jennifer Borchardt of Canyon, Tx, Ferrel and Sara Borchardt of Decatur, Tx, Daniel Borchardt of Plainview, Tx; 26 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Boys Ranch of Amarillo, Tx or to your favorite charity.
