Joe I. Brionez (Tulia)

Joe I. Brionez, 63,  passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 23, 2026 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A rosary will be held at 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2026 in the Kornerstone Chapel. 

Joe Brionez, born on July 12, 1962, in Malad City, Idaho to Ricardo and Maria Margarita "Montoya" Briones. Joe dedicated his life to the town he called home since 1966.

For over 20 years, he worked at Roll-A-Cone Manufacturing Company in Tulia, where his commitment and hard work were greatly valued. Outside of his professional life, Joe found joy in taking care of his farm animals and creating lasting memories with his family during cookouts.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Brionez; his brother, Rene Briones and Saul Briones; his sister, Sandy Briones.

He is survived by his mother, Maria Margarita Briones; his brothers Ricardo Briones, Jr., and Javier Briones; his sister, Norma Vargas and husband Steve; many nieces and nephews.
