John Lucas Quintana (Plainview)

John Lucas Quintana was a loving husband, devoted dad and a "keep the noise down" papa! He lived most of his life in Hale Center Texas and found his final home in Seminole, Texas. He passed away at the age of 78. Funeral Services will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, TX on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with Brother Rush Coffman officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 8:00 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.

The community is invited to join the celebration of his life. John was born on October 13, 1947 to Justo and Stella Quintana in Hale Center, Texas. After earning his GED, he enrolled in the Job Corp and earned his mechanics certification in Indianapolis, Indiana. John married the love of his life, Olga Jimenez, on July 11, 1970. They celebrated 55 years of marriage this past July. John served as a mechanic for 32 years in and around Plainview, Texas. He loved cars, chocolate and sitting outside in the sun. John will be remembered as a Godly man who was dedicated to his family. He will be missed by his family and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Justo and Stella Quintana, and an older sister.

John is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Olga Quintana; daughter, Tracy Rosales and husband Richard of Seminole, Texas; Daughter Debbie Ahrens and husband Brandon of Plainview, Texas, Brother Roman Quintana of Amarillo, Texas, and Sister Mary Coffman and husband Rush of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren: Nathaniel Rosales, Jacob Rosales, Amber Rosales, Avery Ahrens, Brooke Ahrens and EllaKate Ahrens.

His favorite scripture is Psalm 91: 1-2: Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners or join in with mockers. But they will delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
