With broken hearts and deep love, we share the passing of our beloved Jorge R. Avalos Cervantes, who left us far too soon on May 17, 2025. Born on June 4, 2004, Jorge was so much more than just a son, a brother, a cousin, a nephew, or a friend — he was the heart and light of our family.
Jorge had a way of lighting up every room he walked into. He was always smiling, always laughing, and always ready to make others laugh with him. He truly lived life to the fullest, never holding back and never being afraid to be exactly who he was. Jorge was adventurous, fearless, and full of life someone who took joy in the little things and found a way to enjoy every single moment.
He loved hard and he loved deeply especially his family. We always felt his love, whether it was through his jokes, his hugs, or the way he made sure everyone was having a good time. He was outgoing and full of energy, always ready to lift others up even if he was struggling himself. That was just who he was selfless, strong, and full of heart.
Jorge is preceded in death by his father, Jose R. Avalos Galindo. He is survived by his mother, Maria D. Avalos Cervantes; his siblings, Oliba Ramirez Cervantes, Cassie Avalos, Martin Avalos Cervantes, Jasmine I. Avalos Cervantes, and Aaron D. Avalos Cervantes; his girlfriend, Yolett Valenzuela.
He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family from both the Cervantes and Avalos families, all of whom were touched by his warmth, kindness, and joy for life.
Jorge was one of a kind. He lived fearlessly, loved fiercely, and left a mark on every heart he touched. Though we are shattered by this loss, we are forever grateful for the time we had with him. His spirit, his energy, and his love will always be with us.
Rest easy, Mi guerito, mi little Big brother. Until we meet again.
We love you forever guerito. Thank you for being ours.
