Jose Escamilla (Plainview)

Jose Escamilla, 95 of Plainview passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 4, 2024 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Guy Atkinson, Chaplain of Traditions Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the funeral home.
Jose was born on February 4, 1929 in Brownsville, Texas. He married Ramona Luera on September 16, 1951 in Brownsville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ramona Escamilla and two daughters, Ramona Escamilla and Mary Alice Solis.
Jose is survived by three daughters, Josie Lopez & husband Refugio of San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, Hope Rodriguez & husband David, Sr. of Hale Center, Texas and Nora Caldera of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Juan Escamilla & wife Debbie of Plainview, Texas and Paul Escamilla & wife Jennifer of College Station, Texas; twenty two grandchildren and forty three great grandchildren.
