Juan Vela, Sr. (Plainview)

Juan Vela, 92 passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Mr. Vela was born on August 30, 1929 in San Benito, Texas to Pregedes & Paula Vela. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anita Vela; his daughter, Nelda Carrasco and four sons, Juan Vela, Jr., Jaime Lee Vela, Cipriano Vela and Oscar Vela. Mr. Vela is survived by five daughters: Juanita Vela of Arlington, Minerva Vasquez of Arlington, Liz Salas of Plainview, Dalia Vela of Arlington and Frances Vela of Arlington and three sons: Ruben Vela of Plainview, Eddie Vela of Arlington and Hector Vela of Arlington.
