Juanita Lee (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas- Juanita Ann Lee, 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Visitation will be held Friday, May 26 from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Bob Colson officiating, assisted by Chris Birtles. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

 Juanita was born on May 31, 1942, in Love County Oklahoma to Charlie and Alice Stofel. She later moved to Kress and attended Kress High School. After high school, she worked for several years for Omer’s Café in Tulia. Juanita married Donald Lee on June 4, 1961, at her parents’ home north of Kress. Most of her life was dedicated to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bobbye Chaney, her brothers Earl, W.B., Tommy and Ray Stofel and a special sister-in-law Geneva Stofel.

 Juanita is survived by her husband, Donald Lee, her daughters Debbie Perkins and husband Chuck of Tulia, Becky Braden and husband Butch of Amarillo, Sandra Weiser and husband Ed of Tulia. Her grandchildren; Charla Nolen and husband Cody of Kress, Shawn Weiser and wife Ashley of Tulia, K’Lynne Reed and husband Brent of Fritch, Drew Perkins and wife Chelsea of Amarillo, Amanda Harp and husband Austin of Amarillo, and Emily Braden of Amarillo. Twelve great-grandchildren; Ashlynn Nolen, Bradyn Nolen, Aiden Nolen, Adalee Nolen, Brody Reed, Paisley Perkins, Brynley Weiser, Skylar Reed, Sawyer Perkins, Colby Weiser, Lainey Perkins, and Carter Perkins. She is also survived by her brothers-in[1]law; Tommy Lee, Gary (Joe) Lee and wife Rita, Robert Lee and wife Sherry, Billy Lee, and sisters-in-law; Shirley Scott, Betty Meadows and husband Duane and Carolyn Kiker. Her survivors include numerous nieces and nephews including a bonus niece Kelly Chaney. 

Memorial donations may be made in Juanita’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
