Tulia, Texas-Juliana Rhea Howard completed her testament to life November 5th 2021. Born to Julius and Doris Hansen, January 20th, 1944, Juliana graduated from Tulia High School and went on to finish two degrees from West Texas State University. She taught Drama and English to hundreds of students who passed through Tulia High School before retiring and becoming a text book adoption specialist for Prentice Hall, and finally church secretary.
Juliana, Julie to her friends and family, or Mrs. Howard to several generations of students that passed through Tulia High School is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bobby, her sister Gracelyn, her son Jon and her daughter-in-law Shelly. She also has three grandchildren, Amber and husband Zach, Alex, and Anabel and three great-grandchildren Jaxson, Lillian, and Karl, through which her poise, spirit, and beauty still live on.
Juliana loved spending time with family and friends, reading, and her pets. Her legacy is the love and kindness she leaves behind and the many people she was able to share it with.
We will continue to celebrate Julie in service at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, November 10th at her beloved First United Methodist Church in Tulia, her hometown from birth, followed by graveside services at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
