Kathy Nelson (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Kathy Lynn Nelson, 69, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Kathy was born on September 18, 1952, in Tulia to Elmer and Bettie Roberts. She attended schools at Kress and worked several years for Dr. Richards and Dr. Dwayne Love prior to going to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where she retired in 2012 after 20 years of State Service.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Bettie Roberts, her husband: Darrell Nelson, her brothers: Aaron Roberts and Frankie Roberts, her sisters: Cleta Tyree and husband Johnny and Phyllis Settle and husband Ricky, two nephews and one great niece.

She is survived by her daughter: Carmen Nelson of Tulia, a niece: Tina Durrett and husband Todd of Canyon, one sister: Barbara Fowler and husband Thomas of Levelland, 14 other nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
