Kayla D’Ann Edwards (Burge), 67, of Plainview, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Plainview, Tx.
Born on April 13, 1959, Kayla lived a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and service to others. Kayla dedicated more than 40 years of her life to caring for others as an X-Ray Technician with St. Mary’s and Covenant Hospitals. Her compassion, kindness, and commitment touched countless patients and coworkers throughout her career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabie Newman Burge and Ethel Marie Burge (Rainer); her brother, Randy Paul Burge; and her brother, Timothy Wayne Burge.
Kayla is survived by her son, Rowdee Jackson Edwards and wife Erin; her loving life partner, Ronnie Robbins; Ronnie’s son, Kevin Robbins and wife Courtney; daughter, Tracy Robbins and husband Corey; her brother Dale Burge and wife Donna, and seven beloved grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life.
A devoted member of the Living Water Emmaus Community, Kayla found great strength in her faith and friendships. She was an avid quilter who treasured the time spent quilting with friends downtown, and she also enjoyed being part of the Plainview Bowling Club. One of her greatest joys was traveling across the United States with Ronnie, flying together in his plane and creating memories everywhere they went. Kayla had a special love for animals, especially dogs, and opened her heart and home to many throughout her lifetime. She was also known for her incredible baking talents and lovingly created cakes for countless special occasions, especially weddings, sharing her creativity and love with family and friends. Kayla will be remembered for her generous spirit, warm heart, creativity, and the love she poured into everyone around her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
