Keith Mack Baker, 74, of Plainview passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at First Baptist Church Chapel in Plainview with Dr. Les Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Born in Plainview on March 21, 1950, Keith spent his life devoted to his work and family. Keith graduated, from Clovis High School in 1968 and started his career with MBPXL(Cargill Solutions) in Friona, TX. In 1970 he transferred to Plainview as a foundation employee to the new plant. His commitment to excellence led him to work in Dodge City from 1982 to 1988 before returning to Plainview, where he continued his career until his retirement in 2012 as a dedicated quality control manager in the meat processing industry. Keith retired with 45 years of service. Keith married the love of his life, Freda Baker, in Plainview on December 11, 1982, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
Aside from his work, Keith had a passion for riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, and flying in his plane. Keith's adventurous spirit was evident in his motorcycle rides across the U.S. as a dedicated 40 year member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. Keith leaves a legacy of faith in God, strong family values and the importance of a strong work ethic. A compassionate individual will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents; Lee Roy and Hazel Baker, daughter; Linda Baker, grandchildren; Michael Mazza, Tyler Baker, and Lane Ward.
Keith is survived by his wife; Freda Baker of Plainview, daughter; Lisa Mazza of Dodge City, Kansas, sons; Michael Baker and wife Kelley of Dallas-Fort Worth, Danny Ward and wife Amy of Nacodgoches, grandchildren; Hannah Mazza, Rebekah Mazza, Kerby Baker, Mckenna Ward, Lucy Ward, Jackson Ward, Clayton Ward, Brandy Brown, Skyla Brown, Mason Gibbons, brothers; Gary Baker and wife Bernice, Randy Baker and wife Paula, David Baker, sister; Cindy Ackerman and husband John and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
