Kit Carson Daniel Matheson (Tulia)

Kit Matheson, 26, of Tulia passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Amarillo. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Harold Drake officiating. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Kit was born on April 26, 1997 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He grew up in Amarillo and attended Caprock High School and graduated in 2016. He worked for Jeff Dalluge for seven years as a heavy line operator. He enjoyed monster trucks, his dogs and spending time with his family. He also loved listening to music and playing video games. He was known as a man of many names, “Kit Kat”, “Kit a Roo”, “Red Headed Grizzly Bear”, “Daniel Boone” and “Teddy Bear”. He is survived by his parents, Carson and wife Pam Matheson of Tulia, Robin and husband Eddie Badillo of Amarillo, and Debbie and husband Sam Watts of Amarillo, his grandfather, Robert Combs, his siblings, Heidi Combs of Amarillo, Misty Burns of Amarillo, Jennifer Matheson of Memphis, Rocky Flores of Childress, Thaddus Combs of Amarillo, Stevie Badillo of Amarillo and Aster Badillo of Amarillo and many cousins and extended family members.
